A few months ago, I took a fantastic class at UT called Fundamentals of Photography I. The teacher, Tom Geisler, is great and makes things very interesting. I didn't realize how much math was involved until he started making us memorize the aperture stops and shutter speeds.
The great thing about the class was I was able to figure out what most of those dials on my SLR do now, and I know how to change them to adjust the shot! Now I'm always shooting in manual mode and getting photos I like! Yay!
As part of our last class, we were asked to submit three photos we had taken during those eight week. See below my three. And to show you how cool the class was, I signed up for Fundamentals II and went to my first class today. Tom was in great form as always!
