I just peeled and cut a papaya today and have spent the afternoon eating it while cleaning the apartment and doing laundry. It's a nice day to be doing this — it's warm outside with a cool breeze. All my windows and blinds are open and I'm playing some salsa.
Oooh, I really do like papayas. And pomegranates. And peaches and lychees. I just wish we could get the same caliber of fruit in the U.S. as we would get in Z. Nothing can compare to a papaya (popo) felled from our tree in the backyard of our house in Kitwe. All orangey and juicy. Yum!
Pomegrantes are pretty damn good too. Their taste is a good mix of sweet tanginess. And it's fun biting on the seeds.
Enough of the crazy fruit-loving ode. I'm off to Indiana tomorrow. Going to see my super-excellent Kaka and Kaki. Should be fun. It'll be my first time in that state. Should be good.
