I shouldn't be up right now. Instead, I should be in bed, reading or trying to convince my mind to go to sleep. My whole life cycle has been reversed, with my heading to bed in the early morning and getting up way late. Very bad. It's going to be a pain getting up earlier tomorrow for work.
But I can't turn off the computer before posting a little friendly note on Chai. I made some chai this morning. It was just OK. It was missing the elachi (cardomom) and adu (ginger). (Sorry, Dad!) Better luck next time, or Friday! When I'm off! I hardly ever mention work here, but I have to admit this: I am so looking forward to Friday when I'm off and have me a nice three-day weekend. I feel like I've been working or on the go for three weeks straight and it's finally catching up to me with my brain not functioning as it normally does.
Despite the lull in spirits, all is going well. I saw some family friends yesterday and played with their baby daughter, so that was fun.
And this week promises more socializing with the ever practical yet very funny Elizabeth.
Plus one more thing to smile about - the Vols beat UNLV last night. So this week is definitely one to look up to despite my brain being fried.
[PS- I noticed this post has hardly any good tidbits. Not that the others do, but this one is just quite pitiful. Ten apologies.]
