AC Entertainment in Knoxville is continuing its "Sundown in the City" concert series into the fall with "Autumn on the Square." Last night was the first concert in the fall series with Robinella and the CC String Band, a bluegrass band with a mix of jazz. They're a local band who've made it fairly big.
A few of my friends and I attended the concert. The crowd was more mellow and not as jampacked as the summer concert series; there weren't as many high school kids more college-age and older it seemed.
A slow cool breeze (the after effects of Frances) could be felt in the square and I kept on telling Elizabeth how cool this all felt. In my humble eyes, Knoxville just keeps on getting cooler!
We walked around, swayed to the music, people-glanced, talked to a few folks here and there, and just had us a sweet time.
This was the first time I'd heard Robinella, and so I was very pleasantly surprised. She has such a cute sounding voice (when she talks) and I liked the music quite a bit.
So anyway, while I ramble on, it was another of many memorable moments of living in Knoxville, hanging out with good people and listening to good music.
